Your Guide to Wimbledon Celebrations

The Wimbledon Championships are just a mere few days away, and if you didn’t manage to bag tickets to watch them courtside this year then don’t worry, we’ve got you covered. You can enjoy all the action at home with our ultimate Wimbledon Guide.

  • Is it truly Wimbledon if you don’t have some form of strawberries and cream? Our intensely fruity and creamy strawberry frozen yogurt makes for the perfect, protein-packed healthier alternative to the original strawberries and cream. All you need to make it is:
  • Strawberries
  • Light condensed milk
  • 0% fat Greek yogurt
  • Food processor/blender

      Method:

  1. Roughly chop half of the strewberries and whizz the other half in a food processor or blender to a puree.
  2. Add the pureed strawberries to a big bowl and stir in the condensed milk.
  3. Then gently stir in the yogurt until well mixed. Fold through the chopped strawberries.
  4. Scrape the mixture into a loaf tin or container, pop on the lid or wrap well in cling film and freeze overnight until solid.
  5. Remove from the freezer 10-15 minutes before you want to serve.
  6. Serve up, turn on the tennis and dig in!

  • Of course, you’ll be needing a tipple to sip on through the games, and if you’re trying to make some healthier choices and want to go alcohol-free – you need to try this fruity mocktail. All you will need to make the drink is:
  • 1cm thick slice of cucumber
  • 1 sprig mint
  • Handful frozen red berries
  • 120ml sparkling lemonade
  • Ice

 Method:

  1. Chop the cucumber and mint into small pieces.
  2. Bring 200ml of water to the boil in a small pan and then add the chopped cucumber and mint. Turn off the heat and leave for 2 minutes.
  3. Add a small handful of defrosted frozen berries to the mixture and crush them lightly with the back of a spoon.
  4. Strain the mixture and then pour some into a glass.
  5. Add a handful of ice, top up with lemonade and add whatever garnish you desire!

Drink up and enjoy!

  • It may be an idea to brush up on your tennis skills before the game begins. All you need is: yourself (or a partner if one is around!), tennis ball, racquet and a wall. And if you don’t have a racquet, you’re in luck – see the next step below for how to make your own!
  • No tennis racquet? No problem! Make your own paper plate tennis racquet. All you will need is: paper plates, paints or colouring pens/pencils, straws, tape, balloons and you’re ready to serve.  See our steps below to make your own:
  1. Design and decorate your plates. The more colourful, the better!
  2. Tape 2 or 3 straws together to create your handle.
  3. Using some tape, secure your handle to the back of the paper plate. This step requires some testing to make sure it’s strong enough. If not, add more strips of tape.
  4. If you don’t have any tennis balls laying around the house, you can make your own. Simply blow up and secure your balloon with a knot and voila!
  5. Preparation complete! Now it’s time for the fun part and put your tennis skills to the test.

Now it’ll truly feel like you’re right there sitting centre-court!
