Eggs

How do you like your eggs in the morning?

Scrambled, fried, poached.. however you may like them, there’s no denying that eggs are the ultimate superfood. In fact did you know they’re so nutritious, they’re often referred to as ‘nature’s multi-vitamin’ as they contain Vitamin A, B3, B5. B12, phosphorus and selenium? Whether you have a carton full or you’re left with just a solo egg, below are a list of ways you can use them.

  • Fried

The classic fried egg! Heat the pan with some oil, crack the egg and let it sizzle away (just don’t forget to flip it over like we do!).

  • Scrambled

What better way to kickstart your day with a delicious, high-protein breakfast to fuel you? Scrambled eggs are the perfect accompaniment to some toast or simply enjoy on their own!

Boiled eggs often get a bad reputation for their (slightly) off-putting smell, but these little things actually make for a healthy and tasty on-the-go snack to see you through your busy day. Just 1 boiled egg packs 6g of protein to keep you going.

  • Poached

Another glorious way to kickstart your morning! A poached egg (or 2!) on some toast is a great healthy breakfast. You can also pair it with other toppings such as smoked salmon or avocado to get some ‘healthy fats’ in. Don’t know about you, but we’re still yet to master the perfect poached egg.

  • Omelette

Omelettes will forever remind us of Gavin & Stacey, and who can blame them for making them left right and centre! They make an ideal meal whether for breakfast, lunch or dinner and there’s countless variations you can make. Pack in the protein by adding in some meat or cheese, and don’t forget to load up on veggies.

If you’re wanting to lose some weight, you certainly don’t want to skimp on eggs. Whole eggs are an low-calorie and high-protein, keeping you fuller for much longer and will definitely aid you to reach your health goals.
