Why should I have an NHS Health Check
Even if you feel perfectly healthy, your risk of developing certain health conditions increases as you age. An NHS Health Check can help detect early signs of potential health issues and provide support to make simple lifestyle changes that can lower your risk.
What’s involved in a NHS Health Check
During this free ‘midlife MOT,’ a health professional will ask you some lifestyle questions and carry out a few simple tests.
In a 20-30 minute session, they will check your blood pressure, height, weight, BMI (to assess if you’re a healthy weight), cholesterol, and HbA1c (to screen for diabetes).
